THIS EXACTLY it's presented as an okay desu thing in the manga and it makes me go >8|a hhhnnnnghhh the fact that i have acquaintances peeing themselves on how awesome julie was to chrome at that point doesn't make me feel better either. SHE'S A GIRL GUYS and this dude is. offering to help her change. and has her on a bed. aaaaaagghhhhh that should set off warning bells, not hallelujah or something

Not much to add re: treatment of female characters lately, except that I agree that it seems like Amano's editors insisted on more fanservice, because it really is coming out of nowhere and being really awkwardly done. That said, if we're going to have it, I do prefer it staying in the background, as it's clear that even having one raging pervert in this manga is enough to drive me nuts when said pervert really gets going (GO TO HELL JULIE).

Julie could totally work a stovepipe hat and a Snidely Whiplash moustache. In fact, forget doujinshi, this is how Amano should start drawing him from next appearance on.

Yeah, it is nicer that the fanservice is not really acknowledged, come to think of it. And I'll be hoping fervently that Julie's character arc is developing into a well-explored, well-rounded series of punches to the face.

...now that you've mentioned Aoba...I've already forgotten about Aoba already. Maybe he's just a little forgettable, what with having totally no character development and stuff. Although the same can be said about Large

The sad thing is that Aoba got slightly more development than Large because he at least appeared more often, and he's still so forgettable. I'm glad the other Simon characters are not as invisible.

They really could be a little more respectful to Lambo! XD Although I guess Tsuna has a point, it's hard to believe the kid version looks up to them as much as TYL Lambo said.

I shipped Gokudera/Shitt P already, so this chapter has me really gleeful on that front.

The catnip is the cutest. I'm sure he was like "--wait! I can't have my weapon embarrassing me in front of everybody omg".

His outfit is a) definitely hot and b) definitely ridiculous. I think we shouldn't even ask what the sunglasses are for; just accept and enjoy the effect. XD You raise a good point about Shitt P maybe just flinging a match at him, ha!

Julie and Daemon Spade seem to be about equally creepy - Spade was giving gross-out vibes in the anime too. I seriously, seriously hope he does keep his hands to himself too.

I kind of want Chrome and Adelheid to join forces and beat Julie's face in. Hell, at this point I wouldn't mind if Mukuro arrived and did it for them -- there is a point at which I stop being upset about badass female characters being rescued by dudes in favour of getting that creep out of there however you can.

I kind of like the background fanservice, though. If it *has* to be there, this way is a nice change from the usual shounen manga -- it's happening, but nobody cares. Even *Julie* didn't notice a single thing in that first panel up there, and Adelheid has her shirt halfway off. (I like the implication that Amano herself just doesn't care.)

And then she busts through a roof and poses like a champ. I am going to love this fight. I'm so glad it's here, and PLEASE LET SHITT P WIN AND HAVE GOKUDERA DRAGGED AWAY BY THE VINDICE. IN CHAINS. EVERYONE CRIES. LAMBO CLINGS TO HIS LEGS AT THE LAST MOMENT TO GO WITH HIM. *__________*
