I <3 this series~~~ I like that they keep the characters' personalities despite the modern twist. :D
This adaptation, in my opinion, is truer in spirit than last year's movie. (Not that I didn't enjoy that one, but Robert Downey Jr. is no Sherlock Holmes. I thought the guy who played Blackwood looked positively more Sherlockesque.)
:D yeah, I think the best aspect of this adaptation is how they made it modern and relevant to contemporary society. Sherlock also appears to be a lot more eccentric, in a good way. Thanks for the link btw! I'm in hk atm though so I can't dl now :/
er, about the shipping, my fujoshi friends are all adamant about their belief that Sherlock x Watson is win, but I believe the so-called subtext is mostly for comedy relief. Plus yeah, only Watson has been portrayed as having a questionable sexuality. Of course Sherlock couldn't be anything but asexual, just like Sheldon in The Big Bang Theory. But my friends aren't convinced D;
