"Get your skirt off, Alfred."

Feb 01, 2010 20:21

I was going to write this at 6:30 on the bus so I could tell you all about how I was braving fourteen-degree weather and ridiculously early commutes with nothing but a bag of Cheerios for company, just to make this post. But then I played Dissidia instead. So now I'm writing from the relative comfort of a coffee shop, with a steak sandwich and an ( Read more... )

tl;dr, my boring life, music

MAYBE SHE IS. DO YOU HAVE SOMETHING AGAINST TEAL DEER YOU DEERIST?! Well flea-brained arctic monkeys like me don't like reading.

YOU WERE STILL EATING CHEERIOS WHEN I WAS THERE. YOU WERE. I REMEMBER IT LIKE IT WAS THIS MORNING.
Thank you. ...It likes you too...?

I find bags of Cheerios can make excellent company. Honey Nut Cheerios tend to have very pleasantly random conversations, in particular.
Time manipulation, eh? I'm on to you.
Wow, you have a lot of rather interesting plot bunnies. I look forward to seeing what you churn out.
Rosencrantz and Guldenstern are Dead <33333 I sadly have misplaced my copy, because I was just thinking of re-reading it about a week ago. Also, I personally prefer the quote "Get your skirt off, Alfred."
And good luck getting that job! Working in a bookstore sounds like it'd be awesome.
And I know how it goes when you have untouched books to read just sitting around crying because you haven't made time to read them(and raising Pokemon and reading manga are very important things).

...while I'm being a comment whore, on an unrelated note, icon-love!

Unrelated icon love is always a pleasure.

Whoahhh someone who actually read through this.
They were Honey Nut, too! Shame I ate them before I tried speaking to them.
Yay someone who has interest in my freakish plots! Audiences always encourage me to write.
Working in a bookstore would be really exciting... except I kind of don't want a job at all... but then again, it is a far better use of my time than most things I do.
Oh gosh half of the books I own are unread. It's just awful. :x But a well-rounded Pokemon team is important, you see!

I am highly impressed at the length of this entry. I usually find it a struggle to make my entries longer than a few sentences, so for your dedication to thoroughness (on a Blackberry, too? oh man.) I salute you. Digitally.

I'm quite liking the premise of your novel, there. I've found, through trial and error and the trashing of many a plot premise and character, that mentally insane people are usually much more fun and interesting to write. More opportunities to write in crazy shit.

I also feel that I will end up learning quite a fair amount about classical music from your posts. Not necessarily a bad thing, since a steady diet of raw industrial tends to make one's brain melt after a while. Good times.

Oh haha, thanks. I didn't think my talent for tl;dr was anything to impress, but I enjoy being digi-saluted anyway. I like rambling is all. And teeny-tiny qwerty keyboards. I once wrote an entire essay for English class on that phone in the space of four hours ( ... )

Heh, it tends to be both a blessing and curse - the question is, do you know when to let the typing floodgates open?
I can appreciate a good ramble. I tend to fall into them, myself, when I get into a subject enough. They just never get finished since I always get distracted by somet=hing.

Novels are always fun! Especially ones about mental illness. I have a slight fixation on psychology - there's a large stack of textbooks I've bought from creepy bookstores just waiting to be read for fun.
I do write, although I haven't done much of it in a while. Distraction, lack of ideas, the whole nine yards. I have at least three novel-length pieces planned that'll probably never be finished, so for the time being I've been sticking to super-short stuff. It's posted around various places online, but none of it's very recent. =P

Oh sweet, a compatriot who reads psych textbooks for fun too. Yay for old tomes found in strange bookstores. I love the DSM so much. (Though the damn sexologists are going to screw up the new version...) Yeah, I'm obsessed with psychology and neursoscience. Half my characters have something or other wrong with their brain. It makes them so much more exciting!
Oh gosh I know the feeling of never getting much writing done. I have at least several novels' worth of ideas... I doubt they'll get written down within any small number of years. But if you have anything you feel is worth sharing, I'd love to have a link.

Whenever you say "teal deer", I think of Animorphs. :( surskitty February 2 2010, 11:48:53 UTC
Clearly you need to master the art of footnotes. ... And tags. Mainly tags. [dedicated tag abuser]
