Awesome. Thank you, Demicus' dad, and all other veterans. This year I bought my poppy badge from a darling old man with (I think) Parkinsons disease. The dearest old fellow. Bless.

❤ I'll join you in saluting our veterans! I love your poppy-buying story. It's such a treat to see one of the WWII vets. I guess there must not be any WWII vets left in town (or they were ill during veterans week) because I only saw younger Legion members selling them when we were out. Back in the day, Dad was one of the three or so vets that always sold them in town. He looked so handsome in his uniform & medals. LOL! He sold out of poppies so many times. Lots of people in town knew him. He was a sweet, generous man & I'm lucky to have known him. *hugs* Thank you for reminding me of that memory. I hope you & yours are well.
