Female Character Meme

Who didn't think I'd do this one? I'm not a meme taker, but this is the kind of meme I'll do. So nyah.

List your favorite female characters and examine what they have in common!! Is there a theme? Or do they strongly contrast each other? Then do they same thing with characters you dislike or are very meh about!My list is going to sound like a ( Read more... )

Mou, I like Shuurei, but my love for her never exceeded the ones I listed. =( I guess I should have added her to 10, but hm...

This is a very interesting meme, and you've raised some quite intriguing points. I generally don't bother with a series unless it has a strong female character, and I don't really mean that literally. A friend is always at me to watch Supernatural but it doesn't appeal to me for the sole reason that the only (real) recurring characters are male ( ... )

There are some of us out there, but sometimes, we're hard to find. ;)

Series with females I identify with, or sometimes, just plain like, are series I tend to follow and want to follow. Often, even if the series is populated mostly by boys, I constantly latch onto female characters. (Sakura from Naruto!) It just is and it's never deliberate or me choosing... it kinda just, you know, happens.

I do watch series that have no notable female presence (Supernatural), but I have absolutely NO URGE to write fic for it. Like, at all. I watch each episode, find interesting things, and that's it. Of course, it happens to series with female characters too, but if it's a series with only boys, I'm not likely to be all fandomy about it, which is funny, since I read so much slash and yaoi, but I'm not that good at writing it. ;)

Furuba definitely had some amazing female characters! I love what Takaya-sensei did with them and it so totally became their show as the volumes moved on! Rin, Tohru, ( ... )
