I Won't Be There For Thanksgiving

So I'm still not sure whether I want to call my dad to tell him I won't be seeing him on Thanksgiving. I'll probably do as I've been doing and just try to forget about it. I wanted to see my moms side of the family anyway, so I don't feel like I'm missing out, just feel like a terrible daughter for not at least giving him a heads up. >_>;; But the ( Read more... )

I won't claim to know anything about situations like this because I don't, but what if you send your dad a Thanksgiving card? You wouldn't have to say anything about not being able to make it or going to your mother's family's Thanksgiving. Just the fact that a card had to be mailed would indicate that you won't be there. (That is, assuming you live in the same city and he would get it the next day.) That way, all you have to do is wish him a happy holiday and good health. [/end Martha Stewart mode]

I'm sorry to hear about your brakes. I had that happen once, thankfully in a parking lot, though I did roll into an SUV. Were you at least safe in a stationary location when they went out?
