So I've spent the night poking around adult-like things, considering adult-like life. Rent, food, budgets, jobs, careers, relationships, moving, friends... A lot of blog hopping to people who before were omg so much older and now seem oh god I'm that old. It's kind of shocking and at the same time super exciting ( Read more... )

I'm glad to read this post, and I think you have all the resources and smarts you need to get you far in life, should you wish it.

One word of advice: don't take three jobs. Two would be where I would draw the limits. 60 hour weeks for months on end with no weekend kill your interest in life really quickly, especially when you don't actively need the money. Even then... Yeah.

OMG LURKER.

I wouldn't do more than one 40, one 35 and one 10 hour a week jobs. I honestly have NOTHING else to occupy my time, otherwise I wouldn't even consider it. But yeah, I'll probably settle for two. (Thanks for the advice though.)

85 hours is still painful. There are only 156 hours in a week :P factoring in about 7 hours of sleep per night, and 14 hours of commuting (which is very VERY generous if you have three jobs, commuting easily took up 20 hours a week last year for me), you're literally left with 8 hours for the rest of the week for eating, showering, internet, and friends.

an hour a day passes by very, very quickly.

I was planning on working within biking distance to home, so barely 1-2 hours per day assuming my shifts don't coincide. It does only leave me with a few hours, though.

I'd only consider 3 jobs if I had absolutely nothing else to do. If I wanted a hobby, I'd obviously cut one.
