I really just didn't even think that much more badness could happen, but it has. This past week, our house which we thought we had pretty securely locked up while we try to repair it, was broken into, twice. The first time, just some aluminum ladders were taken. Thanks! Two weeks later, things are starting to look a little better. We've got a lot of work done on the house. We'll probably be able to move back in by the beginning of April. We'll have a lot of stuff to replace, and some things that can't be, but at least there's progress being made.

I am so sorry that this happened. People really do suck. You never know about the getting caught thing, though. The people that robbed my house were caught because the cops found some of my DVDs at a pawn shop, and the guy there IDed them.

I'm at least a little hopeful. Some of my jewelry was pretty unique, and the collectibles are identifiable. So are the tools for that matter they all have either my grandfather's Social Security (or old driver's license number) or my uncle's social security number engraved on them. Those could be filed off, but it would be conspicuous and time consuming.

Nothing yet, but I haven't completely given up on that stuff.
