*sits and sorts through her mind for a bit* My life really isn't thrilling enough to write about, but I miss the sensation of regularly typing out entries

ok your review on 'the shining' is interesting - i've never seen it before, but i've always wanted to (if i ever worked up the courage for it; i don't usually stomach horror stuff very well!) after jared loosely based 30stm's 'the kill' videoclip on that. it's always one of those 'must watch' stuff, but ok i'll try not to put too much expectations into it after your review LMAO
and aww the way you talked about the warhorses exhibit makes me wish i am in london now so i'd be able to go through it myself. but the idea of having an alt career path to do with horses is very beautiful - they are such majestic creatures, and such soulful ones too.
gotta find time to watch 'drive' as well; that sounds like the kind of thing i'd like.
There isn't too much stuff in "The Shining" that is gorey in your face horror - like there are a few bits that are full of "eeeew" factor but most of it is just playing with your mind.
Also, there are certainly large portions of it in "The Kill", but I think 30STM did it better! Bwah ha!
As far as alternate career paths go, working with animals would be like an old dream come true. It is what I originally wanted to do before sucking at chemistry. I'd be really interested in becoming an RSPCA inspector, part of the appeal of moving back to the Island would be to have some time. Time to take my dirivng test, and time to volunteer with them before applying.
I think you'd like "Drive", I hope you like it! *hugs you because you're fantastic*
the problem is, the mindfuck ones are the worst! i'd end up imagining too much and then i'd be freaking out all the time LOL LOL LOL. *is epic-fail at things like these*
lmao so who's johnny in the 30stm clip? >D
hehehe you can be a horse whisperer :P yeah go volunteer with the rspca and see if you like it there, and if you do, chances are you'll like it as a full-time staff too. definitely a good motivation for moving back.
i looked it up on wiki, definitely my kind of thing! *squishes* <3
I'd love to leg it to somewhere remote and be trained to whisper to horses, although then I think the cruelty they suffer at the hands of people who don't know they are doing it wrong would hurt even more to see.
I know I'd like it. I used to do work experience at my local veterinary practice, sitting with sick animals used to break me but I loved it all the same.
I watched The Shining about 20 years ago (LOL) and thought it was better than the book, mainly in that it's all very well to describe cabin fever but the visuals of it made more impact, and the hotel was very creepy. There was something in one of the rooms that really creeped me out, but I honestly can't recall what it was, now!
I haven't read the book, I want to though. I have to be in very specific situations befor I can tackle reading Stephen King books ;) Um, there was the naked young lady who turned into a corpse, the freaky twins and the man in a bear suit?
Oh, it might have been the woman who turns into a corpse - that sounds familiar. The only Stephen King book that really freaked me out was Pet Sematary, and again I can't remember why!
Ooh I've never seen The Shining either, but I have the same reaction as what you described to a lot of "classic" movies so ehh I'm a little apprehensive >__> Drive is also next on my movie list!! Glad to hear you liked it so much :)
flying badgers in your chest of drawers! I want your dreams - I dreamed in quite disturbing anatomical detail about fellating a man on my course *brain bleach*.
