I totally agree with you about the Hitchhiker's Guide! Though I must say the movie itself isn't bad... it could be considered a really nice movie, actually... if it hadn't murdered the book completely!
It's sad in so many levels... because the movie is actually greatly done, beautiful, with great actors... Marvin is great, by the way! So why they didn't stick to the plot?
I just read the first two books, actually... and after the movie, so that's why I didn't hate the movie when I saw it (I actually loved it at the beginning)... I really need to read the others ones... though, I would like to read them in English... I see a lot is lost in translation...

And yes - forgot to mention that the only good thing was that they got Marvin spot on! :D And I liked the idea of the Point of View gun...
Like I said - Rockwell as Zaphod could have been so good... *sigh*
A note on the production - one of my good friends did the costumes for that film, and made Zaphod's herself :D She's v talented!
Ah, I love Zaphod... My fave character in the books. Have you read the newest one?
