Yeah, this drives me crazy, too, and unfortunately it's deeply ingrained in American humor/culture. Dismantling it is going to take a while. In the meantime, enjoy some Margaret Cho awesomeness:

It just frustrates me when South Park does it because apart from that they're pretty progressive with their treatment of women in comedy. I'd say they're more feminist than Family Guy (I can't like that show from a feminist perspective for so many reasons, one of the main ones being Meg). And yet they still fall into this trap. Why. Why make fun of vaginas? I mean, the episode Eat, Pray, Queef kinda addressed this, but there's this one scene where I'm like " and this is helping your point HOW?"
