“Changmin-ssi, here is the plan for the new company, please take a look. We will close the current factory of the Jung family and move it to China. The directors have been informed. By the end of next week we will…”
Changmin flipped through the thick pile of documents in front of him. The chief development officer of the newly established Shim-Jung telecommunication company, Jang Woohyun, kept going on and on and on, and Changmin wondered why they loved explaining things to him like to a kid that much. It wasn't like he was a dumb, spoiled brat like those sons of other rich families.
Kyuhyun, Changmin’s cousin, would probably retort and prove his worth in this situation. Changmin, on the other hand, would not bother. Though he hated it, he’d let people think whatever they want to think. Those who speak much like Jang usually love to feel important. If Jang worked hard because he wanted to feel important, then Changmin would let him feel just that. Changmin was generous with things like this, as long as in the end he could get stuff done.
When Jang started to talk about the new structure of the executive board, Changmin had done looking through the whole pile of documents. As he reached the last pages, something caught his attention. There were ten full color pages, tittle read: Design of the Shimjung Telecom building.
Changmin raised an eyebrow. The mere height of the building could show how ambitious the senior Shim was. Changmin’s abeonim sure had been planning to take on the telecom market of at least the whole of South Asia.
But the building design itself was rather terrible in Changmin’s opinion. Changmin was going to find out who had chosen that design and fire them. Also finding out the company that designed this and making sure to cut all business with them - he made another mental note.
In the mean time, he killed time by looking at the bad points in the design. With a pencil in his hand, Changmin sketched upon some sheets of paper available on the desk. Officer Jang on the other side of the long table was too busy listening to himself to notice, while some few other people in the room just thought Changmin was scribbling points down.
It started only as some mindless thing to kill time, but the more he did it, the more absorbed Changmin became. And Changmin decided the whole front structure of the building should be changed. He replaced the unsightly steel part with black glass, and added some bold white lines ourside the lower floors.
But it wasn’t just that. Changing the material demands changes in the core structure of the building too, due to the mere size of the construction, and Changmin felt he needed to work more on that. So he took the sketches home, and transfer what he had got onto his computer.
For the following week, aside from class, Changmin skipped all other activities. Most of the time he locked himself in to work on the design. Now he was only a sophomore at college, so though he read a lot of books and knew much more than people of the same class year, he had never worked on a real construction plan.
And once experiencing it, Changmin could say it was almost addictive. He couldn’t stop thinking about what he was working on the whole time it progressed. When he finished the entire thing on a Sunday, Changmin realized he hadn’t eaten anything since Friday, yet it hadn’t occurred to him that he was hungry or anything until then.
His eyes were throbbing after such a long time spent in front of the computer screen. This is really bad for my health, Changmin thought. But the fact that he had just finished something created this exhilaration inside, that made him breathe faster than normal, and feel something in his chest that was so strange. Changmin just couldn’t stop smiling as he looked at the 3D version of the whole complex.
He decided he would show someone this thing first thing when he got to school on Monday. He needed to share with someone this work of architecture design, and his joy too.
“Oppa, this is so amazing,” Yuri wow-ed. She took a closer look at the design. Her long hair fell onto her back like a river, and her neck smelled of expensive perfume. Changmin grabbed her small waist. “And I made these balconies that look like drawers, see?”
“It’s so nice, oppa.”
“The white lines, don’t they make this part of the exterior walls look like turtle armor?”
“I’m also thinking the same! This is so great!”
“But the roof would have a curved shape. I want it to have a kinda futuristic look.”
“Wow, it’s so cool! I love you so much.”
Changmin felt buoyant, so he didn’t really mind Yuri’s repetitive and kind of empty compliments. Even though she knew nothing about professional architecture, Yuri only wanted to please him. And Changmin only needed someone to tell about his feat, so he really didn’t mind. Changmin touched the sheets of paper with different views of the construction design on them with fondness.
Meanwhile, Yuri climbed to sit on his lap, and Changmin could feel her soft breath on his face. Changmin smiled. He put the sheets of paper on the table, as he leaned in and gave her a peck. Yuri giggled. She held his face in her hands, with her long fingers and carefully French manicured nails.
They were giving each other butterfly kisses and Changmin smiled between those, when he saw, from the corner of his eyes, Junsu looking at them from a distance.
Junsu was standing in a hallway full of walking people. He stood still and Changmin had no idea whether Junsu had been there for a long time, or had just stopped when he saw Changmin with Yuri. Junsu was motionless while everyone else was moving, and it made Junsu look terribly out of place, like he totally wasn’t part of this moving, hurrying world.
The guy was wearing a white polo shirt, and long black slacks. Has anyone ever told him how he has no sense of fashion? Changmin thought with amusement.
Yuri played with Changmin’s short strands of black hair, and pulled his head closer, signaling for him to kiss her properly.
Changmin grinned. He complied, leaning in, using his tongue to lick Yuri’s lower lips. One of his hand supported Yuri’s back as he deepened the kiss.
Just before he closed his eyes, he felt a wind breezed by, making sakura petals fall down in a rain of flowers. The scene was just like in a romance TV series. This thought made Changmin laugh lightly, and the laugh blew air in Yuri’s mouth as they kissed. Somehow this made it so much more erotic, as Yuri, though completely aware of the environment they were in, couldn’t help a soft moan.
When Changmin finally opened his eyes again, Junsu wasn’t there no more. As if he had disappeared along with the rain or petals.
Changmin felt Yuri playing with the buttons on his shirt. “Oppa-ah?”
“Yeah?” he turned his attention back to her.
“So,” Yuri said, face still red, “I heard the merger with the Jung’s was done already?”
Business again? Changmin felt an immediate turn-off. “Uh-huh,” he made a sound at the back of his throat.
“That’s so great. My abeonim heard about this from Minwoo ahjusshi, and he really approves this. Abeonim said he’s glad his future son-in-law is so talented,” Yuri giggled, “My abeonim intends to be a big shareholder of the Shimjung company too. He just received words from your father. Who else is your father having in mind?”
“Oh, that…” Changmin started to feel uncomfortable. He never did like Yuri talking about business much. He knew the essense of their engagement was this very thing, but still…
Meanwhile, Yuri kept on. “So who will be your partner in China? Do you think establishing the base in Taiwan will be better? In the mainland large companies are backed by the government so it would be quite hard. I think that we should...”
“Yuri, let’s not talk about this ok?” Changmin cut in, sighing, “I just got it done and really don’t want to hear about it for a while.”
Yuri blinked. She stopped playing with the buttons.
Changmin held Yuri’s waist and guided her down from his lap. “It’s almost 10:20, don’t you have class? I will see you later, ok?”
Yuri looked confused, but as smart as she is, decided to not say anything.
She took her bag and left.
End 20
I've been re-watching Saipan these days, absolutely delighted to see MinSu every freaking where xD From how they sat on the same bed and every time he was about to leave Min would look at Su as if for permission xD (really, when the other 3 were jumping on Su's wallet Min was still sitting with Su, only until Su signaled to Min that he could also take a look did Min join the others hahahahaha), to how Su laid his legs so casually on Min's lap when no one was looking during the archery game xD and also this:
(cred: minsuaday.livejournal.com)
Sly Min xD Su asked him to massage his shoulder but Min went straight to Su's thighs lololololol
Min teased Su like there's no tomorrow whenever they're on camera, but off it he just gave in to Su all the time. Ah I'm just so in love with these two~~~
