“What are you doing here?” Koujaku pushed off of the wall, attention dead set on Mizuki.
The rival ribster groaned, running his fingers through his hair as he stopped in the middle of the alleyway, looking around, “Really, you’re hear babysitting him?”
“Aoba has the night shift,” Koujaku crossed his arms, nodding his head in the direction of Heibon Junk Shop, “I was originally keeping an eye to make sure that escaped prisoner from Scratch didn’t come around, but I seem to have stumbled upon something better.”
Mizuki heaved a sigh and unzipped his leather jacket, “Oh, I’m more important than an escaped prisoner?”
Koujaku growled, unsheathing his blade, “Nah, you’re just small fry.”
“And you don’t have the rest of you team backing you up this time,” he grinned, parting his legs to slip easily into his fighting stance, arms raised at eye level as he dead-eyed him down the span of his balled fist. “Beni-Shigure isn’t here to help you.”
“I don’t see Dry Juice anywhere around either,” Koujaku gruffed out. Beni rolled his eyes from his perch on Koujaku’s shoulder, keeping to himself as the two men verbally had it out, “I heard they had a pussy for a leader anyway.”
“Why you!” Mizuki snarled.
“Would you both cut it out?” Aoba snorted, fixing the strap to his bag as he locked Heibon up.
They paused, watching Aoba curiously as he rolled his eyes, shoving his ring of keys into his pockets, adjusted his coil on his wrist and slipped his headphones on, “Ya'll can have at each other all you want, but I'm going home where I don't have to hear all this noise.”
“Aoba!” Mizuki lowered his fists.
Aoba stared at him then his pale gaze shifted to Koujaku, “Look, I'll see you guys tomorrow or something. I don't have the time to have my friends fight it out for no reason.”
Both Mizuki and Koujaku watched after him, before hurriedly following, “Aoba, wait up!” they cried out in unison, chasing the blue haired boy down the street.
