I feel your pain...but this still made me laugh! Last time we moved we had 92 boxes. Just Of Books. Plus everything else.

Ha! We will get there eventually, I have no doubt -- this time we had about 50 :)

Ah, but this is an opportune time to jettison the stuff you REALLY don't need/want/love. Do I love these nic-nacs enough to lug them to a new location? No? Goodwill, then! Plus, it gives you the perfect excuse if you get rid of something that someone else in the house later asks about: "Oh... I don't know where that is.... It must have gotyen lost in the move."

God, moving is a bitch! But just think - you are getting rid of so much old stuff you haven't touched in 3 years so when you are finally settled in your new home, it will be all nice and neat. You'll want an interior design magazine to come take pics it will look so nice.

Yes, weeding is a good thing. And the new house does look quite nice -- though with two cats and a big dog I'm not sure how long that will last :P

Moving is lousy even under the best of circumstances. If the date snuck up on you without having time to go through stuff the way you'd wanted to, well that's why the good lord invented corrugated cardboard boxes, and/or trash bags, and the word "misc."

Thanks! It's our first "grown-up" house, and really beautiful. We're loving it already :)
