Watching the DNC...

...and having a quiet squee over Obama's speech. Clinton's last night was also brilliant (just a country boy from Arkansas, my happy a**).

happy happy joy joy, obama, cliffhangers, politicking, anti-idiocy

I can only agree. I loved Clinton.

Obama was just the icing. ;)

Nice! I'm sorry I missed the Big Dog, but we're watching a repeat of Obama's speech right now.

I've always been a big fan of Clinton - his presidency alone was surely grounds for abolishing the 'two terms only' rule. Especially considering what came next!! I've seen clips of his speech and he's got better with age!

I'll admit to not being Obama's biggest fan - he's okay, but needs to work a little more on substance, and a little less on 'being cool' - but he's by far and away the only tenable winner.

The thought of Romney in the White House makes me feel ill -- even with the Atlantic between us as a buffer.

Edit - should say, I watched the First Lady's speech, and I'd definitely vote for her :)

Clinton really does know his stuff; he's genial, inspiring but common-sensical, straight-talking, warm, funny...you want to sit down and have a beer with him. Or a mint julep.

The thought of Romney in the White House makes me feel ill -- even with the Atlantic between us as a buffer. -- I know what you mean. As a governor he was relatively liberal and sane, but as a presidential candidate he's contorted himself into something seriously quease-inducing.

I watched the First Lady's speech, and I'd definitely vote for her :) -- You and me and about a million other women! She really is something. Maybe she'll be like Hilary and end up going into politics herself :)
