Well, I was actually being as objective as I could - I considered which country would be the most fortunate to grow up in and live in, as far as quality of life goes - and I still chose Norway. Because there really is no match for this country
( ... )
And you probably have national healthcare, too. I forgot how great all the Northern European countries. I've been to Denmark and could easily live there happily. My ex-husband did winter training with your country's military and loved the people there. I like the fact that men and women serve alongside each other in your military.
We do ^^ It's brilliant! I've never been to Finland or Iceland (poor Iceland ;_;) and I haven't been to Sweden or Denmark in years, but I'm pretty sure I'd be having a jolly good time living in either of these countries (once Iceland gets back up on their feet, of course).
"I like the fact that men and women serve alongside each other in your military." - Wait... I thought it was like that everywhere??
PS: Yaaaaaaaaaaay Waltzy won an Oscar! Are we happy about that or WHAT? ;D
We are soooo happy Christoph won that it is unbelievable. And then we had "Der Humpink" the very same night. I was on cloud nine for two whole days afterward. :-)
Men and women do serve "together" in the USA - sort of - but women don't serve in combat with men, so they don't serve in the same training exercises. In my husband's winter training the women were in there right with the men, and it was no big deal. They were all in a cave together every night, and they all had to use the same portable toilet and it was no big deal. They'd never allow that in the USA military!

- Heh, you know... somehow I'm surprised at this - but I'm NOT, at the same time.
