In January 2008, I received an offer too good to refuse from Dish Network.  If I signed up for Paperless Billing, I would be entitled to receive six Cinemax movie channels for $.01 per year.  Yes, that decimal is in the right place -- one penny per year. Interesting. Elaine and I were planning on calling DirecTV to see what they would offer to keep up. Knowing what Dish is offering will be very useful.

I believe that Dish and Direct are actually owned by the same parent company, so I'm not sure how much they'll fight to compete with one another. And, as I noted, most of the people at Dish seem to think the penny-a-year deal is a short-term promo offer. No idea what the folks at Direct will have to say on that. Still, let us know here how it goes, if you will. I'm interested.

That is EXACTLY what good customer service is...Do What It Takes as long as you can do it. And take as long as is necessary to fix the issue.
