I was too young, really, to see them in the 80's. But I've seen them perform in several incarnations since the 90's and they are still fabulous on stage. Their energy is simply amazing. Last time I saw them in a smaller indoor venue which is so much better than an ampitheatre, accoustically and visually. I think they're underappreciated as artists and musicians simply because they are gorgeous, and stylish; we are accustomed to substance or style. The hive-mind of pop culture has trouble realizing both in the same place.
