Noses very light from the bottle.

Super smooth - that's what you get from triple distilled!; tastes exactly like it smells, which is mostly caramel (I've read around that it's crème brulée or toffee). I might be missing the fruit. There's some lime in there somewhere, and a slight bitterness in the finish, almost like a citrus pith. Subtle

i quite like it myself. on days when i want something sweet, it's my preferred whisky amongst the sweet ones. but you're right. it's a newbie's scotch. it's one of the ones i started off with as well :)
