Busy, Busy

Over the past two days, there's been a great deal of talking and writing and reading going on in our little Devon retreat.  Ellen and Holly and Terri spent yesterday cloistered in the studio, reading Bordertown stories and figuring out all the geography and the Shared World details.  Every once in a while, someone (mostly Ellen) would come in to ( Read more... )

I hear tell that professional cooking involves considerable amounts of shouting and tension. Or at least that's what all those cook shows seem to indicate.

Well, that's what makes cooking shows dramatic, isn't it? I'm guessing Real Life is quieter, if still fairly high-stress. Well, she'll find out, won't she?

Actually, it comes from Castle Drogo (said with l-o-n-g vowels all around, as I first heard it years ago from a Welsh friend of Terri's who was living here then), culled from their herd and sent to the local butcher twice a week. So your answer is, "Sorta-kinda, yeah."

Mromeo-o-o, Mrowmeo...Hope the cat finds the tom of her dreams soon, for all your sakes. I know the sound, having listened to many kitty serenades over the years.

It's cold and rainy today, which has, er, dampened her ardor a bit. But she was still up, bright and early this morning, looking for love in all the wrong places.
