Drabble - Sam/Rosie, Sam/Frodo - The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King

So, this is a weird little Rosie-drabble that I've been pondering since I reread The Return of the King and it started beating insistantly at my brain when I saw the movie for the *coughfifthcough* time.

Sometimes, when I study his face, I see the scars from the time he was away. He doesn't talk about it much and usually kisses away my questions. Sometimes, I wonder what happened to him out there; but those times are few and far between because I a very busy hobbit wife.
I stopped cooking Frodo's favorite foods. I thought it'd make Sam happy to remember such a good friend, but his eyes get sad even though his words are greatful.
He turns away from me sometimes when he cries at night. Other times he lets me hold him and whisper, "He's okay. He's happy now. He needs you to be here." Then he kisses me softly and curls me into his side before he falls asleep.
There are times I hate Frodo. Mostly I'm greatful to him for whatever it what he did that made Sam finially make his move.

But sometimes...sometimes I hate that hobbit.

Makes me want to cry for Sam, and then again for Rosie... and then again for Sam.
