Two cups of tea. Stir them with a tea spoon- Ting Ting! we're running out of milk. I think 4 weeks must have fallen oven board, suddenly it's coming up to Christmas! This term has gone so fast but summer seems an age away, when I think about it. I'm looking forward to home. Lots of heating and home made soup. Go to the Strand if you want books. "18 miles!" of books, they advertise. Also, if you wander around any of the universities, you can find lots of little bookstores.

Arty as in art museums? The Whitney. I prefer it to the MOMA.
New York just has tons of things. I like the shopping in Soho more so than uptown around Fifth and all that mess. Get to Bedford at the 7th Street stop on the L line in Brooklyn, if you can. There's lots of hip things around there, too.

switzerland golly! that's amazing, i would give anything to go there for christmas and then new york! how lovely and lucky. i hope the weather doesn't bother your flights.
