Thanks :) When I will finally get the movement sequence memorised - of which "treble-up-treble-hop-back-treble-up-treble-hop-back-hop-back-one-two-three" is a tiny, tiny and reasonable easy part - I think my left/right problems will disappear of their own accord :)
I need to know precisely what I'm doing and where I'm going, because otherwise not only I cannot do the sequence right, I'm also not helping my fellow dancers.
Can you imagine them having any such problems? I'm trying to learn, only like 10 times slower :)
I've been learning hard shoes since November only, so it's all pretty pathetic at the moment and I'm still having trouble with the very basic basics but it's such fun! :D
But you wouldn't believe (unless you tried it), how hard it is to hit the floor with your shoes or not to forget to put your feet down sometimes. Honest!
I'm also doing (for much longer, over 5 years) the soft shoes, Scottish Highland dances and SCD (Scottish Country Dances).
