What the hell, Chicago

The Chicago Blackhawks have fired Denis Savard, their coach of three years, after a short 4 games (1-2-1). He will be replaced by Joe Quenneville, former coach of the Colorado Avalanche, etc.

Are you kidding me? I don't see a good reason behind this. Sure, Savard wasn't exactly coach of the year, but way to add stability to a young team, guys.

Savvy wasn't a great coach, and they pretty much promised the fans that they would make the playoffs. Quenneville has experience. QED. It's more complicated that the GM didn't get fired at the same time, but I guess they're waiting to see if he'll pull a miracle out of his ass before they replace him with Stan Bowman (most likely).

That makes a lot more sense. I don't get to watch enough Blackhawks games to really get a good idea of it.
