Have you read The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl comic? It's one of my very favorites right now.

Comic rec: PS 238. Set at a public school for superpowered children ("metaprodigies") it takes its fun very seriously, and understands children's working minds with a lot of dignity and depth. It's all online, and because it's all by one guy doing the whole story and he's able to plan for this, features one time travel story. That happens over a very long time. At various times.

TV show rec: Scrubs. Half live-action cartoon, half hard-hitting drama, and the most medically accurate show ever made.
