Awesome, awesome fic. I loved Peter wandering around and just thinking about what happened. This actually reminds me a bit of one of my favorite books, The Road by Cormac McCarthy.

I saw The Road in the movies. Loved the idea, but the movie was a bit of a drag... I'm interested in reading the book, though. I take it it's better?
