As most of you already know, Diana Wynne Jones passed away last night at the grand old age of 76.

I've tweeted a lot concerning the lack of Chrestomanci books in my county's public library - that is to say, there are none. They were there when I was small and obsessed with Harry Potter and magic and spent most of my free time in my elementary ( Read more... )

If your library still isn't listening, you could always try buying extra copies yourself and donating them. Failing that, see if you can get a small petition going. Libraries are usually pretty amenable to acquiring material if you can prove people will be checking them out.

I'm currently unemployed, so there's a reason I'm not JUMPING TO BUY THEM and instead requesting them. Sadly enough I did get a petition going and got about fifty signatures, which you think would be enough for a county public library system. But they never got back to me on it.

basically they are being dumb. :(

Well, when I come into more money without straining my bank account the books will be the first things I'll buy, for sure.
