Their trip to the forge was uneventful, their conversations stayed focused around Death and Doom, so Flidais just listened to the brothers talk, finding their 'shop' conversations much more interesting than anything that she had to say at the moment ( Read more... )

"You CAME!!!"

A lithe, young wad of red hair and godly enthusiasm swept her up into a hug the instant the door opened. Brighid, youthful and wild-eyed, swung her cousin in a circle before letting her down.

"I thought you might be too busy, but you came, and you brought people, and people I don't know, and he looks rather like Midhir, doesn't he? And you should introduce me, only here -- here's welcoming cups for you all, and you should give the maidens your cloaks, and DAGHDA, but I'm glad to see you, Blossom!"

An overzealous fiery haired goddess opened the door and enfolded Flidais between arms and gleeful spun in a short dance of merriment. Thanatos silently stood through their greeting, not wanting to be rude. He slightly nodded his head at being acknowledged, waiting for Flidais to introduce him instead of introducing himself, and taking the cup offered he smiled.

Flidais had fully expected Brighid's enthusiastic welcome and she smiled warmly at her friend once her feet touched the ground.

"Of course I'd come, how could I not? I'd never forget your day!"

She turns to Thanatos and Moros, smiling as she introduces them to Brighid.

"Brighid, I'd like you to meet my friends Thanatos and his brother Moros, brothers also to the Fates. You still play cards with Atropos right?"

She hands the basket to one of Brighid's maidens as she takes the intricately engraved cup that is offered. With a respectful nod to Brighid, she lifts the cup to her lips and finishes the contents in one fluid movement. She smiles at the maiden waiting besides her to take the empty cup, while adressing Brighid again.

"You've had a good rest I see, looking wonderful as always."

"Thanatos, Moros," Brighid drops a courtesy to both, and waves her maidens forward with cups for them as well, "I bid you a thousand welcomes to my home." Her green eyes sparkle mischievously as they linger on Thanatos' face for a moment, but then she turns back to her cousin, taking her arm, and leading them all out of the doorway, through the fall of emerald ribbons, and toward the long hearth.

Harps and fiddles and drums and voices thrum about, filling the air with energy and tune.

"Aye, Blossom, my time in the Underworld was well spent. Midhir and I got on well, as always -- just enough screaming rows to make the sex afterward amazing, and in between there was hunting, and those silly board games he loves so much, and Oh, but there was a lot of lovely sleep! And here --" She leads them all to the sideboard, and a basket piled high with glowing, amber fruit. "I brought back Apples!"

Turning, she holds them out to Thanatos and Moros -- a golden fruit in each long-fingered hand. "I fancy you'll both enjoy these; from our ( ... )
