Elpis stalked Central Park for longer than she'd accounted for. Suddenly she looked up, it was dark, and she felt ( Read more... )

Standing outside Strife's door, waiting for him to call her back inside, she heard a knock downstairs. Oh, curiosity, curiosity!

She edged down the corridor until she could look downstairs toward the door... No one was answering... She wondered if Eris and Enyo were even home... *lipchew, lipchew*

.... She wondered how much hell she would get for opening the door....

Stamping with impatience, she waited at the top of the stairs, indecisive.

Hope assumed that her mother was napping, and slipped into the temple. It wasn't even that she feared being met with hostility - mummy was rarely overtly hostile to any of her offspring.

Which said nothing for subtlety.

Hope shut the door quietly behind her, and looked about, just to make sure Eris and Enyo weren't getting uncomfortably freaky in any open areas. Hope felt little need to bear direct witness (again) to her mother and aunt's close... relationship.

Satisfied that she wasn't going to be scarred for life (again), Elpis moved toward the stairs, at the top of which she noticed someone who was definitely not her mother, her aunt, or Strife.

"Um. Hi," she said in a tone designed not to wake the twins, if they were in fact sleeping.

The new Somebody talked in the hushed tones of conspiracy. Ruina grinned and waved, replying back to the lady in a matching whisper, which slithered down the stairwell like the sound of hissing and met Hope where she stood.

"Hey there! I'm glad you let yourself in; I didn't want to get blasted for answering their door! I don't think one half of them likes me... and I think the other half just wants me around for entertainment!"

She traipsed down the stairs, after a furtive glance behind her -- specifically, to Strife's door, which still remained closed
-- and stopped in front of Elpis.

"Ruina, Goddess of Destruction, half-breed child of Set and Tisiphone, impatiently waiting for Strife to call me back in! And...you...?"

Hope was half-smiling halfway through Ruina's first sentence.

"Don't worry about Eris and Enyo. I'm not sure they really like anybody but themselves.

"Tisiphone, huh?" Hope's expression didn't betray her surprise, the young goddess having been under the impression that the Furies weren't the child-bearing type. Either way though, the young Egyptian/Greek was cute, though her aura a little radiant with Chaos, destruction, and darkness. But then, those were things that Hope was used to, and she worked around them often.

"I'm Elpis - Hope. Eris is my mom, so Enyo's my aunt and Strife's my brother."

Hope shifted her weight, looking up the stairs toward where Strife's energy was emanating from.

"So, I guess you know Strife. I can see why you guys'd be friends," she grinned. "How's he holding up?"
