Psyche had felt more than once that becoming a goddess wasn't the experience she had expected. Eros used to laugh at her fascination with forever. He was born a god, always knowing immortality. She had been born mortal, in a time when people lived 45 years, then traveled to Hades' realm.
It was one of the small things that showcased the differences between them, not that they had ever let the differences get between them. At least in the past they hadn't. Eros and Psyche had a bond that had lasted through the ages, no matter how far or long they were apart. Their last fight had been a stubborn match, however, neither willing to compromise. It had been too long, and too lonely without her love. She missed him, and it was time to go home.
