Too many great things had happened in the King's time to know that this would be the end of him. He was a fool for listening to another God and believing that the transmutation would be so simple. Swallowing hard, she stood very quietly behind the three Greeks, hands knitting and re-knitting behind her back. "I did not know what was happening to me, Thanatos. At first I thought it was simply mourning for my child's death that made me feel so infinitely hopeless...however, when the time came to pull myself out from the stupor, I could not. "You have one thing humans don't have when they are informed that they are going to die. You have the luxury of knowing what they don't, you've knowledge of the great unknown whereas some of them have only their faith in what lies behind their material existence. You now, must have faith in something that is unknown to you---you must have faith in the cure. If the ashes rest in the riverbed of Styx than there is hope that not all has been absorbed or carried away in the current, some could have sunk as sediment to the base. The river can possibly regurgitate it."
