"All right, but fair warning, Poseidon. Demeter may not give as receptive a welcome as you might think…if you follow along that is,” Rhea comments as she turns to step outside.

“Coming?”

"Yes," he replies with some hesitation.

"Why wouldn't Demeter be pleased to see me? Have I been gone too long?"

"Well, I think it is something that she should bring up as I think both of your memories of the past vary greatly. That's all I can say." It isn't as if it is a secret to any, but her son. Gaia knows how many times she had to comfort her daughters over this unapproachable topic.

It isn't far and soon they are at her front steps, right at the door. She gives a silent call to both daughters to brace themselves as she begins to open.

Demeter sat back on the seat she was sitting on, and downed the entire cocktail. She barely moved an inch even as the door opened and both mother, and brother walked in. She closed her eyes, then re-opened them. Looking at the wall.

Now her family wasn't always the brightest, but she surely thought her brother would know better than to get without 5 feet of her. Especially when her daughter was away in the underworld with Hades. It made her even worse. Her moods were all swings.

Demeter just glared at the wall.

"Demeter, my dear," Poseidon beamed. "How are you? It's been ages." He stood before her, expectantly, with open arms.
