Chemicals were strewn on the floor of her bedchamber. The singing scent of stale bleach hung in the air around her. Styx sat up in bed, slowly pushing aside the silk coverlet that Nyx had so carefully tucked around her

Persephone knew of the battle on Olympus. It didn't take much to figure out that Erebos had left the realm that was made up of him, and that his power had covered over Olympus. It left things feeling a bit... Off

It was a good thing to have Sephy in her arms again. She returned the embrace just as tightly as it had been given, though Styx didn't react outwardly to her words, except to give Persephone a gracious smile.

"Thank you, Sephy," she said, her tone just as softly. And then she turned the focus away from herself. The death of Amenomi still left a very sore place in her heart, and although she had pulled herself together enough to keep it from showing, she still didn't like having to. "How are you doing? How is your husband? I know things have been strange these days. Tell me what has been happening, love," she said, drawing a strand of hair away from Sephy's cheek and smoothing it properly behind her ear.

Sephy gave a slight smile, and threaded her fingers through Styx's, leaning her head on her foster mum's shoulder. How was she doing? It was a good question.

"I'm... well, I've been better, I suppose." she held back a sigh, but left her cheek on Styx's shoulder. "Aidoneus is... he's not dealing well."

Kore didn't want to tell Styx why. Though she felt for her husband, what he'd done had affected Styx as well, and she expected no sympathy or indulgence for Hades from the river goddess. "I guess I've been trying to just... keep an eye on what's been happening Above. I've kept up with the work down here, taking care of business while Hades has been... indisposed. But. Well, you know. I worry. About Zeus and all."

She sat up straight, so that she could look at Styx full-on.

"How have -you- been?"

Styx dropped one soft kiss on the top of Sephy's head, then looked at her when she straightened up
