Wow! If this wasn't his lucky day, or maybe not...He'd barely had enough time between invocations to swing by his pad and get a drink of ambrosia forgetting all about his house guest for a moment.
"Whoa!" he jumped startled dropping the carton of ambrosia when he remembered Justice was around here...somewhere.
"Where is she?"
"Oh well," he thought while looking down at his feet. "I'll just clean that up later!"
He materialized down below...somewhere. Hey was he in the Underworld?
Neat.
He squinted his eyes at them...One...Two...Three...Haha! The three furies!
Gara eyed Strife from head to toe like something blood soaked and delicious. She smiled. Always the playful, lustier one, it showed as she leanred foward over the pool to smile at him.
Her sisters flicked her a slightly disappointed frown. But she didn't seem to care. She held her individuality long enough to purr him, before she was one of the three harmonies in one voice, her eyes one of three pairs shining pairs.
"Not for us, Lord of Mischief, but for Lord Ares."
Alecto's voice hovered above the other two for a moment. "He's far away from home."
Meagara's voice held a distinct smirk as her tones superseded her sister's. "And in need of... tender loving care." There was a world of wealth and humor in the phrase with more than a touch of familiarity.
Tisiphone's voice didn't swell over her sister's. They were three in one again, serious, attentive. Once allies of the God who would now run Olympus.
Whether it was from that flirtatiously devious stare Meagara sent his way on an invisible electric current or from being called "Lord," it was undetermined. But it didn't take long for his countenance to pass from the stunned look to the Uh Oh, I'm screwed look.
It wasn't that he didn't want too go, he'd go...
“Anything for Ares," he thought and then mentally told himself to "Knock it off." He was still very much under the erote's spell.
But there were questions, questions that needed answering before Strife ran off to fetch an Uncle who might not want to be found.
Arching a brow at what Meagara said, and catching himself before he slipped into some kind of romantic fantasy, which the very thought of rattled the acids in his stomach.
"Why does Ares..." he scrunched his nose at the odd request before the mental interruption.
Something else, a fear tapped at his noggin.
His voice resumed with a hint of worry rolling off his tongue, "Need me to go get him? Can't he just pop

Gara couldn't help laughing, breaking the spell of Three as she stretched suddenly appearing wings; whisper fine in shimmering raven rainbow.
"Have you ever been so caught in the kill." She said, disappearing and reappearing behind him to whisper in his ear. "In the chaos and confusion and pain, where you could feel every droplet of blood and hear every jangled, breath; that the thought of anything, everything else was wiped from your mind ?"
Gara disappeared again to lean against her sister, Alecto, casually nuzzling Alecto's cheek, eyes on Strife. "Lord Ares has always loved power. And now he has it. Stimulating. Sensual. Sizzling power."
She laughed.
Tisiphone looked amused for the first time and sighed a little, nodding in agreement.
Alecto patted Gara's rear with a kind of bemused affection. A rump that was slowly turning pale lavender blue; beneath wings draconian and reptilian. Alecto ignored the lengthened tongue her sister undulated at Strife before licking her cheek

The unexpected shrill laughter bellowed out at Strife, from the overzealous fury making him wince and shift his weight about on his feet. Suddenly Meagara was behind him whispering the equivalent of sweet nothings, words that only such beings connected to War would find sweet, in his ear. What she said was frightening to the part of him that had become humanized over the ages, but seemed to appeal to that very primitive, primal part of him that lived deep down at the core of what he was underneath the frivolous front. He was close to frothing at the mouth, when the shimmering winged fury rejoined her sisters, he licked his lips tasting blood where there was none and quirked his head at her and Alecto glancing at Tisiphone long enough to see that she concurred with what was said. His eyes grew wide in awe of Meagara’s tongue. No wonder Deimos liked her! Imagine what she could do

"Once upona a time, briefly," Alecto began. "We were his allies in a contract as twistedly complicated as Ares is wont to make such things; favouring him completely and attempting to possess us."
Tisiphone spoke next, voice as darkly poisonous as her shifting appearance. "It kept me from the father of my child. And our sister from one who'd been a part of her life since his childhood."
Alecto spoke again. "That compact is broken. He no longer controls what we say and do. Those who are free to leave that behind them, would do well to do so."
Meagara had been standing silently, eyes flashing a moment. Now she spoke. "He cannot demand our tongues, total obedience or declare us untouchable to others." She met Strife's gaze evenly. "Belonging to Ares comes with far too heavy a weighted price."
Distant Sisters to Fate, the Three could be as formal as any Grecian God and they were choosing to be so now.
Paying little attention to the furies ability to shape shift with the exception that his eyes were really interested in that serpentine tongue, Strife listened to the three tell him everything but what he really wanted to know. He thought: Where do I find Ares? And decided he'd just locate him with a little bi-location trick, while he was having this interesting conversation, sending his spirit outward to seek the spirit of war.
Slightly becoming agitated when Meagara spoke of something that brought back unpleasant memories and reminded him of the price you have to pay to sometimes be near greatness he knotted his lips to one side of his face and chewed on his jaw.
Being subtle was never one of Strife's strengths, so he just blurted out what was on his mind when Meagara was finished, "Okay I got it. He can't control you...you advise against it...yadda yadda yadda. That's great. It really is. But the thing I want to know ladies? I'm standing here wondering why ya know? Why is the pact broken? How does something like that just...

"How ?" The Three looked at him, each individually amused.
"We pleasured him until he could take no more." Meagara said slyly.
"He agreed, finally, that alliances with the Dirae should be on our terms and not his." Tisiphone added, actual warm twinkles glimmering in her eyes.
"Did you know that too much pleasure can drive someone mad ?" Alecto's wide eyes hinted at innocence. Her wide smile, however, was devilish.
"Pleasure and Power" They spoke together. "Be wary of the dosage."
Gara's tongue slithered again and her form blinked, to reappear at Stife's shoulder, leaning against him; shadow made solid, her tongue flicking against his ear. "Remind him of that for us, when you meet him in Thebes."
