For the first time in Ages, Eris felt energized. She danced around the room to the operetta playing on the stereo, her glass of wine held out to her side between fingers, her sister laughing at her even as she smiled, leaning to kiss her cheek.

"It's already begun... and damn if it doesn't feel perfectly divine..."

"Oh, yes, poppet... I can smell -his- blood from over here..."

She sighed delightedly, and took a sip of her wine, joining Eris in her dance.

"There ought to be so much more before this is over!" she exclaimed enthusiastically.
