Oh, that's so funny! I quite agree with you about the horse's rump (and I love the disgusted expression on the face of the horse in your second picture!). Perhaps, if she has very long legs, and is riding normally, she could bend her knees and swing her legs right back to kick the horse in the rump? But she would need to be very supple, and would probably lose her balance, and would, in any case, look ridiculous! What a shame that one ill-thought-out word completely spoils a good story.
