It wasn't too bad here, just some swaying and rolling. (In my husband's building, he's on the 23rd floor and said his chair jumped and people's computers rattled on the desks. Eeek!)

Never lived through one of those before. WEIRDNESS.

Heavens. I live in Toronto normally, but I'm in Cambridge (MA) right now. Don't see this on the Times yet, searching other news. Thanks for the heads up.

Now they're saying centered in Ottawa? I'm not sure. Cell towers down in the capital, tho. Scary stuff!

Globe and Mail is saying Quebec North of Ottawa, no reports of injuries in Toronto, cell phones may be overloaded by calls or actually down.

I've lived here almost 15 years and didn't know it was even possible! Bizarre.

there was an earthquake (although minor!) very local to me and I live nowhere near a fault line - pretty much as solidly in the middle of the North American tectonic plate as you can get.

You can have them anywhere! but holy earthquakes, Batman, what is up with this year?

We're good here! The center was about 500 miles away. They're saying it was a 5.5? IDK. I'm just glad it wasn't any closer.

I just hope the Canadian side is okay.
