As I was just saying to dotfic... is it too, too horrible to confess that part of me hopes everyone will migrate over to Dreamwidth without me (after SPN is over, of course) so that I can finally wrest my life from the clutches of Livejournal?

At first I was very confused. Dreamwidth? I wondered, What is THAT. Then, I was angry. Like, super angry. VIOLENT, even. I don't like this Dreambitch! I roared. She steals things that don't belong to her! After that, I was incredibly depressed. Everyone's going to flock there, I sighed, and leave me here to ROT. And I cried my one single perfect tear. But I finally flounced on over and ... well. She IS awful pretty.

Still. She's no lj. I refuse to leave this place unless the circumstances are DIRE.

I've actually been strangely "meh" about the whole thing. I mean, it's not like you can't sign up later. What's the rush? (Random girlfriend can have the "deirdre_c" name if she wants it. In the next life I'm going to be "sexvixen69" anyway.) Besides, it took me years to assemble the community I have here. I haven't the heart or energy to go through it from scratch over there. *is old and worn out*

I'll admit that the idea of a new name is appealing to me. But that's about it. I like what I've got goin' on here. I just don't want to be abandoned!

I'm trusting that the sparkle will fade and most people, when the dust settles, will remain here because this kind of community feeling could be replicated but not for a very loooooong ass time.

I was glad when I heard that season 5 was it, because I really can't imagine another fandom taking me over to the same extent that Supernatural did. It's nice to have a date in mind when the daily rush will end.

So I don't think you're terrible, or at least you're only terrible insofar as I am too!

Fandom got me way drunk a few years back and took me out and tricked me into getting its name tattooed on my ass. I've been a goner ever since.

Well, part of what so shiny about this new system is that it's supposed to be much more integratable with other journal services. So I think I'll still be able to peek through your windows interact w/you. >;-)

And I won't be abandoning my LJ.
