1) Am currently posting from housemate's computer, because Lilac is stubbornly refusing to turn on at ALL. This is inhibiting my ability to do very important homework - and also to check very unimportant (but fun) internetness

Sighs for you, too - but as long as, alongside all the other good things, you have a couple of nice woolly jumpers, with high necks to help the sore throat, that will keep you warm as you read and act as a cat attractor; then being positive is much more fun than feeling sorry for yourself - so go you!
