Some Randomness

1) That storm is still going. We're now onto Thunder Round 3, still accompanied by huge amounts of rain. No more hail, though.

2) It really bugs me that everyone who's ever talked about it thinks that Whitehat is about Nancy retaining her memories of the Wishverse afterwards ( Read more... )

Okay, I'll bite on the Whitehat thing, since I was planning to rec it as one of my "Minor Character Recs" at fantas_magoria tomorrow to celebrate the start of The Wish week. It seems to me that she's obviously remembering stuff, since there are long quotes of remembered dialog and whatnot. So, what's the advantage of moving back in time as well as blurring the line between dimensions? Is it to show that she had hidden heroism a year before it became overt in The Wish? Or is it because the descent into Wish!verse began in Season 1, and she's just (sort of) remembering things as they progress in parallel time? In which case Wish!verse Larry might not have been quite such a sweetie. If he is changed into a nicer guy by the vampires taking over Sunnyhell (or something else besides a pep talk from Xander), that would be an interesting story. Also, it makes me wonder if Oz is still a werewolf in the Wish!verse. Mmmm. Bunny ( ... )

Sort of, yeah.

She's getting the memories of Normal Buffyverse, but the instincts (and occasionally almost-memories) of the Wishverse. It's slightly complicated.

Thus, she's been finding Sunnydale progressively weird, as the two worlds get further apart.

If he is changed into a nicer guy by the vampires taking over Sunnyhell (or something else besides a pep talk from Xander), that would be an interesting story.

That's my idea.
After all, if you start a vampire-hunting organisation (because I'd think that Larry and Oz would both be involved in the Whitehats right from the start), and heroically save people every night, you have much less time to be jerky.

Ah, and I just asked this on the original post, so don't feel you need to repeat it for me!

2) Huh, I don't think I quite knew that about Whitehat, although the clues are so there. That makes it even more interesting. I'm slow. :)

5) Honestly, Ats S5 just...confuses me. Like, his plans don't actually make any sense to me, in a I-don't-know-what's-going-on way. Maybe if I ever rewatched all that finale stuff, but mostly I just go for the Fred-death eps and Smile Time.
