I do like Alice Roberts as a presenter on TV, she's always very watchable. Her books are definitely good, but occasionally a little heavier going than you might expect if you know what her TV programmes are usually like.
It was definitely an interesting approach to use the different stages of embryo development to explore aspects of evolution. I already knew a fair amount of the evolution stuff, but I actually learned an awful lot that I didn't know about how human embryos develop.
Yes, I'm maybe going to try to alternate fiction and non-fiction, but I do tend to go through definite 'phases', and right now, apart from that crime novel, I seem to want to read non-fiction.
She's great on TV, and I actually saw her in real life giving a talk early last year, which was also very good. Just a shame her books aren't *quite* as easily accessible.
I've now finished two more books since then, must get round to doing review posts at some point!! I've been buying new furniture and clearing out the bedroom, which is taking up an awful lot of time, hence lack of book review posting. However, I now have a new bed, and the new wardrobe is coming the weekend after next \o/
