Unexplained internet issues meant I couldn't get lj to load *at all*, and most other internet sites were really slow and sometimes failed entirely, especially if they were quite picture/graphics heavy. That's awesome that you had some time to read. Internet connectivity is such a mystery at times as far as will it work or wont it, it may as well be magic.

I've definitely been enjoying the reading and catching up on TV things, it's nice to just have a break and not be constantly checking social media sites and whatever. But it is frustrating not being able to get online when you have things you need to do.

I'm actually really enjoying having a few days offline most weeks lately. I'm getting a lot more reading done. But I probably need to get online more often and at the very least check my e-mails. I keep going two or three days at a time without even switching the laptop on, which is probably not ideal (although I assume in case of emergency most people can text to let me know I need to reply to something urgent).

Might see if I can spend a few hours having a proper catch up over the bank holiday weekend.

If everyone uses your gmail (and you can set your other e-mail to forward things to it) you can easily pick up your gmail on your phone :)
