Brian doesn't play enough Sowpods to be considered the best in the world, and Nigel doesn't really play enough TWL to be considered the best in TWL.

For a long time, until he basically went on hiatus, Logan was considered by a lot of people to be better than Brian at TWL by those in the know. Logan is also given a lot of credit as a great Sowpods players in North America but abroad people just view him as an unknown commodity.

Note that the World is a little more sporadic than everywhere else, so no one really knows. If you take it statistically rather than just by player reactions, the #1 player in TWL is probably Gibson (although Brian is close) and the #1 player in the World is probably Ganesh Asirvatham (although Logan is probably close, and it's not fair for Logan because he has decimated everyone he has touched in Sowpods)
