BLOWIEST and WASPILY

Those are the words I missed that might have won me the games I lost at club this week. The first one I saw right away to the T (during my first game) but wasn't sure it was good so I just played WAB for 16. It would have been 101 points if I didn't chicken out on it!  WASPILY was for my second play on my third game but again did not chance it and ( Read more... )

Whoa, who played GIAUR*? Probably thinking of GIAOUR... KEYER* is also phony, what are you trying to pull here? :-) I like the blank Z in FRIZ/FIZZ. Those kinds of plays are fun. Thanks for posting pictures each week. It's much more interesting than straight bingo lists.

Hey, I just looked up WASPILY and it has an interesting anagram! I love it when words unexpectedly have cool anagrams like that.

Sadly, they were both mine. I was pretty sure too when I played them. I actually apologized to Todd for I didn't want to play phonies on a relative newcomer.

That's right, I was thinking of GIAOUR when I played the phoney but I was shocked KEYER wasn't good.

SLIPWAY would have been much cooler for it is an L bingo, but it wouldn't have fit.

5 - 1 is not a decent performance, it's outstanding. Now 2 - 2 is blah.

Yeah, I think I'm usually pretty hard on myself. 5-1 is great, but tend to focus on the mistakes, especially the ones that kept me from 6-0. :-)

REKEY/REEKY is one of those word pairs I sometimes get stuck in my head and can't get them out. In fact, strangely I had them in my head just today! Whenever I took a break at work today, I was reciting "rekey, reeky, rekey, reeky" like Rain Man or something. Since they sound so much alike, it's good to associate them together, and hopefully they'll be easier to remember.
