Quick. Hard. Sharp teeth and trashing tongues, scorching nails and bruising grips; there is no room for tenderness or long overdue confessions of love.
She is leaving for New Caprica in less than an hour; being banished to a world she does not believe in, to wander aimlessly among her people on fruitless terrain while he stays up in the heavens watching over all their sufferings.
This might be the last time he ever sees her. It’s definitely the first time he’s ever made love to her.
Bill groans into the curve of her neck as her back bows and snaps with the force of her orgasm. He hisses as her nails dig deep into the skin of his back.
He wants to hold her close, to soothe her still quivering body, to properly undress her and kiss every inch of her beautiful, porcelain skin. If only she would let him.
“I have to go,” she whispers against his jaw. “Baltar’s personally arranged my departing shuttle.” The bitterness in her voice isn’t lost on him. Her contempt and anger are palpable; he feels it in the grip of her fist, in the fierce tug of his tunic.
It’s not Baltar she is angry with.
