Amorous.

Laura mentally lists the things that she loves the most about Bill as he snores lightly in their shared rack. Her bare head is propped up on her one hand while the other traces her devotion and love into the skin above his heart.

Loyal. Selfless.

She leans forward to trail her lips along the paths that her fingertips have marked.

Romantic; my romantic old fool.

She feels him begin to stir under her ministrations.

Her name is a rumbled endearment, caught between the tail end of his dream and the nagging presence of morning. The kiss that she bestows him is firmer; a wake-up call, a promise to make it worth his while. He listens wisely.

Dedicated. Thoughtful. Forgiving.

Her tongue traces the rustic scars on his chest; his breath hitches as he is brought, delightfully, from his dull fantasy to the sweetness of his reality.

“Good morning,” he rasps.

It certainly is, she decides as he envelops her in his arms.

He holds her for a while; his own fingertips dance their way across her naked body. They tickle X’s and O’s into her pale skin, before his lips follows suit with an endless trail of their own.

Loving.

She giggles when his broad hands reaches the dark red of her areola, gasps when he replaces them with his tongue.

“Very good morning,” he mumbles in between kisses to her nipple, collarbone, neck, and finally, her mouth.

The gentle yet firm caress of his tongue against hers sends a series of shivers down her spine; no one’s ever made her feel this way before.

Attentive.

He finishes his morning routine with a peck on her nose, which she crinkles adoringly at that lopsided grin of his.

Affectionate.

“Love you too,” she promises. He chuckles.

He knows.
