[Puck/Havelock: Vampire AU of melodrama!]

Feb 04, 2010 16:27

[OOC: From a few days after this.]

Havelock can feel the difference behind the door when he touches it. The rest of the castle is silent, asleep in an uncommonly sunny Uberwald day. He had looked at the empty coffin with disdain, and instead spent the day systematically exploring to offset the massive disorientation, and skirting the occasional shaft of light with averted eyes.

Lady Margolotta assures him that this will become less debilitating, in time. He will never be able to stand in sunlight, but cloud and judicious clothing make it manageable, or so she says. The coach with smoked glass in the windows is glaringly obvious, however. He will have to think about that.

In the meantime, he pushes open the door and steps though into Milliways, closing the door immediately behind him. He feels very exposed, here - Uberwald may be used to the Undead, but the bar seems to breed those with supernatural senses. A woman's too-black eyes follow him as he passes her table, and he in turn feels a twinge of unjustified unease.

(For a guy dressed - albeit reluctantly - in semi-formal eveningwear, he blends into the shadows just a little too well.)
