Thank you Shaena!
They're way more beautiful in person. Photos don't do them justice.

Yes, they were all handheld. Most of these were ISO1000, manual mode to between 1/40 to 1/60, depending on how bright the display was.

That is so impressive! I really want to vist Canada and Toronto is definately a place I would like to visit first - might have to go during this festival.

You should definitely visit! This is especially fun for the kids. Plan your trip between August and October. Toronto has a lot of street festivals during the summer too.

I love how well these turned out, especially the bright colors! What settings do you use for these? I took some in Greece at night and a lot of them turned out blurry or the light was moving across the photo.

Thanks Scott.
These are all at ISO1000 @ 1/40 to 1/60, depending on the brightness of the display. I'm glad my cam performs well under high ISO.
What camera are you using now?

Well for Greece I had a rental and used a Canon Rebel, since both of my cameras died. And I'm not sure what my next camera will be, either a Canon G20 or a Nikon D90 (if I decide to go the DSLR route and learn how to work one of those properly)...

Too bad about your other cameras. Since you rented a Rebel you're now somewhat used to the DSLR now right? I think you'd do fine with one with practice. They're way more fun to shoot with :)

Don't know anything about the G20 but the D90 looks great.
Lately I've had my eye on the Nikon D3 but would settle for a D300 until the price comes down. I'm not ready to spend 5G atm :/

Wow. Is this every year? Wish we could've seen these in person!

Yep, it's a yearly thing. It's been on for a few years now? This is the first time we made it down.
Come back between Aug and Oct and we can all go :)
