Any of you brilliant and varied folk out there know how to cure sudden blindness? I'm not picky, I'll take magical or medical or...whatever else is beyond that. It's for a friend of mine.

Depends. What caused it?

A curse, but I'm worried about the effects lasting so long. And she's not getting any better.

Damn. So, there was a blindness curse while I was gone? ...and it didn't go away...does that happen sometimes?

Who, if I can ask.

No, no. It wasn't a curse for blindness, actually - it was a curse that let two people take a peek at each other's souls. Hers just ended badly.

Me and Chinadoll lived in the same building for awhile. We're not glued at the hip, but she's a great gal.

[ooc: if Lorne's knowledge through Inara gets to be too much, let me know! I've got him unaware of just what she saw in Anna, but he does know how the blindness came on for now.]

She is. I wish I could have met her differently.

I'm Anna, by the way, she might have, um, mentioned me.

[ooc: That's cool. I didn't put any real constraints on the other muns about what they saw, so that's fine. She'll tell you why what Inara saw struck her blind if asked, but only if asked.]

Don't blame yourself, Anna-cakes. I saw most of what happened and there's no way this is your fault, okay? I promise.

Depends on the sort of blindness, but I might be willing to take a look. Do you know the cause?

deformiwhats November 8 2009, 04:56:12 UTC
It's the result of a curse, unfortunately.

Perhaps the deities would be amenable to helping, in that case. These curses seem to be rather unstoppable.

I see. Could I trouble you for advice on how to go about getting their help? My name's Lorne, by the way.

Huh. I could try. I don't know how long would it take if it's effective at all.

That's music to my ears, really. Can I ask what exactly you might attempt?

It's kind of a secret.

I have a sapphire that can heal to a degree, it can ease the pain too.
