[The screen doesn't show too much, just a side view of Gokudera who is lying in bed face down and groaning, trying to come to terms with what happened last week.

Because he had coffee.  With Byakuran.

Yeah, he's going to be dying of shame for some time.  And possibly blowing up some trees or something because going after Byakuran alone might be ( Read more... )

I know I was in a sleep coma during whatever that warehouse thing but I've been around for others.

Anything you can possibly tell me.

There's been some smaller things, but the one thing I remember best... It was like I was back home, but everything was wrong. It was like [pause] things were breaking apart.

Breaking apart? Breaking apart as in physically or...some other way.

[Trying to be delicate here. In case he accidentally upsets someone who might be helpful.]

It's not your fault, Gokudera-kun. Nothing happened and everyone's okay, so there's nothing to worry about.

I think that's a good idea - hopefully everyone can come.

[Okay, some scrabbling and that's Gokudera's head bobbing as he bows.]

Tenth! I must express my apologies again and thank you for your forgiveness!

[And then he's back on his feet and picking up the Dreamberry.]

At least I didn't remember anything I might have told Byakuran that would have given him the advantage.

Chrome's the only person I never hear from now that the last of the Varia have disappeared.

Er- no, really, it's okay!

[Oh Gokudera, always so overzealous.]

The Varia are gone? [frankly he's unsure whether or not this is a good thing, what with Byakuran still around] I'll see if I can find Chrome. Maybe if there's only four of us here now, she should stay with us.

Before this, when I checked there were still a couple of names on but Fran and Lussuria are gone now so it's just us Vongola, Shoichi and Byakuran left. It'd definitely be for the best if we all stuck close or at least kept in touch more regularly if she doesn't stay near us.

Last week I had coffee...

[Big pause. He's admitting failure to Yamamoto of all the people.]

With Byakuran.

Why?

Because I thought I'd lived here for years and I really wanted coffee and he said he had good stuff so I had coffee with him.

Nothing like this's ever happened before.

Unless, you know, you count those freaky post-apocalyptic hallucinations, but those were kind of different.

Post-apocalyptic hallucinations? Anything about things looking like home and turning into dust because someone just mentioned that to me.

phantomfenton May 27 2010, 02:42:33 UTC
Yeah, that's exactly it. That thing where everything looked like home, but no one else was there except people you couldn't recognize, because you were too caught up in your 'hallucination thing', or whatever.

Everyone keeps calling this place a dream world; I'm starting to think that nightmare world might be more accurate just going by what I've seen.
